Do you believe in only 1 love?

Do you believe that everybody will fall in love once and never stop loving that person, incapable of loving anybody else as much. A true love which no other can ever make you forget. Although you may not be with this love as maybe that person has another life long love too which he/she can't forget. You may marry somebody but deep down you wish you were with your one love. For example, brokeback mountain was a controversial film which emphasised this. They tried to hide there forbidden love but could never stop and secretly loved another their whole life. I am in love with a woman and know I will never forget her %26amp; she will be with me forever she is my one love. She loved me too but is also married although he cheated on her so she says she no longer loves him. I thought about it %26amp; think everybody has a one love which nobody else can compare to. She will never leave him because although she feels hurt can't forget her true love, as I can't forget her. Do you believe in 1 lifelong love.

No, we can love more than one person but only one at a time.


You have to find someone eles to love before you stop loving the first person.

My answer to your question is Yes and No. I think it all depends upon the individual and some ingrained ability to Love in the way you have experienced.





Some of us experience what you describe, the rest of us experience this Love thing in other ways ...often because we have many levels of Love and of things we Love ...though don't actually mean, 'Love'.





eg: I Love chocolate ice cream ...I really do Love it, but not in the same way as..... You get my drift?





My personal 'Personal' experience, was something like yours, though I was the married one and she was the beauty who played the finger wagging game that brought me in close, and the (metaphorical) hand slapped face for 'getting in close'.





I think I was being 'pushed away' because I really did get in 'too close', and then dumbfounded her when I 'walked away'.





Even now, 20+ years later, there are times when some thing, of her arises in me, and I'm transported back to then and the vast range of feelings and my turmoils ....and that base feeling of Love.

Reply:I completlely understand. I have a secret love that I feel will never die, no matter who I am with or where my life leads me. Its hard to get over him; Ive tried and just nothing helps. I've learned to just push him to the back of my mind and just pray for best for the both of us. He is the one that holds that key to my heart, but timing was just not right. But I fell completely head over heels and my love has yet to die down. Its very hard to cope with these feelings while at the same time not letting anybody know about them (because I am involved)....But I always think about him, pray for him, and just let myself drown in my thoughts of what we could be. Maybe one day, he'll come back and realize what he had., just Maybe....

Reply:A rather lengthy question. But the simple answer is that people are different. Some find the right person early on and that is it. 0thers have jhad dozens of relationships before the real thing happens. Sadly, some people just cannot be faithful.


For me (after many 'episodes') it has been one for 40 years.
Reply:Am 36 and have had lots of relationships in my time.This sounds bad but i feel in love with my ex-husbands brother !!!.We got together and had the most amazing 4 years together he was my soul mate i have never and will never love anyone like him.He died 6 years ago in an accident and i cant tell u how much pain i was and still am in.Iam now with a lovely man and yes i love him but i will never love him like my soul mate.As you only have one of them.So i belive you can love and love again but when you have met mr or misses right its a differnt love do you see wot i mean.????
