For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. . . - Psalm 37:28
I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. - Proverbs 8:17
So be very careful to love the LORD your God. - Joshua 23:11
I love you, O LORD, my strength. - Psalm 18:1
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' – Matthew 22:37-39
Love is patient, love is kind...
Love is patient, and love is kind,
it is not jealous or prideful
love is not rude,
it is not selfish,
it is never angry, it is not happy with evil,
love is not happy with lies, but rejoices in the truth.
Love never gives up,
love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,
So please explain how evolution defines love? We know what GOD says?
Without God man would have no idea what love really is.
Reply:Why would evolution define love? Does gravity define embarrassment?
Reply:The selfish gene
Reply:Yes, God loves to punish people, too...
Hosea 9:14-16 (NIV) (this Godly prophet is improvising a prayer to the LORD about one of the tribes in Israel!!!...) Give them, O LORD— what will you give them? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that are dry. (And God rushes to answer him on the spot!!!) "Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them* (*says the God of Israel!) there. Because of their sinful deeds, I will drive them out of my house. I will no longer love them* (*God must be having a terrible hangover!); all their leaders are rebellious. Ephraim is blighted, their root is withered, they yield no fruit. EVEN IF THEY BEAR CHILDREN* (*Israelite children… like how many Christian Yankees were praying for the destruction of the South! and vise-versa) I WILL SLAY THEIR CHERISHED OFFSPRING."*
(*)Have you noticed that the Bible God spends much more time slaughtering babies than teaching them intelligently how to please him? This fact alone should touch the bleeding Christian heart to mercy, not to justify the killing of babies as something Holy because God does the killing, except when it comes to their own babies then they blame the Devil!
God always answers your prayer even before you open your eyes, but you must ask “according to his will”…! You get an immediate answer especially when you pray for the slaughter of your own countrymen and their babies that you don’t like!
Jeremiah 16:3-4 (NIV) For this is what the LORD says about the sons and daughters* (*Jewish babies) born in this land and about the women who are their mothers and the men who are their fathers: "They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like refuse lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth."
Isn’t God so lovingly cruel? and all of God’s masochistic people say, “AMEN!!!” Any Christian of a sadistic orientation will find a real Paradise in Heaven. The rest will just rejoice in the LORD… I am sure!
It is funny that prayers requesting the destruction of anybody including babies have an immediate and enthusiastic answer from our Loving God and Heavenly Father, but prayers on behalf of a sick person or on behalf of a sick baby may never be answered! Even when YOU KNOW that God is the author of the EVIL in the life of the baby!
2 Samuel 12:13-18 (NIV) Then King David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.* (*this is also a quick answer, too but!) But because by doing this you have made the enemies of the Lord show utter contempt, THE SON BORN TO YOU WILL DIE.”* (*the Bible God almost always picks on the innocent and defenseless babies!) After Nathan had gone home, the Lord* (*NOT THE DEVIL!) struck the child* (*without pity!) that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he became ill* (*poor baby!). DAVID PLEADED WITH GOD FOR THE CHILD. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground. The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them. ON THE SEVENTH DAY THE CHILD DIED…*
(*)YES! The Bible God, NOT SATAN had the poor baby dying on a slow tormenting death for 7 long days so King David and the Christians would learn a lesson because “WHATSOEVER” is written in the OT is intended for the Christian today, too! --Romans 15:4

Reply:Evolution doesn't define love, evolution is change over time. The theory of evolution explains how that change over time happens and how it works.
Biology explains love as a chemical reaction in the brain. We've known about this for years now, hon. And love does have an evolutionary advantage. It helps us bond with mates and pass on our genes with their help. It causes us to want to take care of each other, which is beneficial to all. It causes us to care deeply what happens to our family members, who are walking about with our genes in them.
Reply:Evolution does not define love.
Your bible quotes do not define love. They just use the word.
Try a dictionary.
Reply:Again: Stupid Creationist assumption that evolution is a religion and that it claims to have all the answers to all the question in life.
Guess what, it doesn't.
This is like asking, "What does special relativity say about love?"
Reply:Umm. The theory of evolution explains the mechanics behind the gene pool shifts we know occur.
It...isn't a guidebook for stuff like love. I think we're more than capable of love without your book telling us what it is, though.
Reply:And we will continue to suffer your insanity.
Yes, I think I will have another....
Reply:Evolution is not about the social graces, please educate yourself before making idiot remarks.
Reply:Moot, where in the Bible does it say what you posted?
(List your source.) Thanks.
Reply:It was God's teachings that domesticated humans from our wild counter parts and not by chance through evolution of our species.
Reply:It is something I haven't seen evolution explain. The human brain's complexity shows a higher intelligence behind it. There is an intelligence to it, the ability to reason, to produce feelings, to dream and plan, to take action, and relate to other people. How does one explain the human brain? "Chance," "mutation" or "natural causes" are insufficient explanations.
Reply:why would evolution define love? you ask the stupidest questions.
Reply:Your god said "I love those who love me"?
Wow.
That doesn't say much for him, does it?
