What is love???

Have you ever wondered why we love, what makes us love or do things that we would never imagine doing in the name of love? Some say it’s a genetic malfunction, some say its what make us different and most say its just a feeling; but I think its what make us live and I truly think you don’t know what its like to be alive until you have truly loved.


I often wonder what it is about love that makes us so crazy, so confused, so scared but so happy that we would be willing to throw out reason, change our values and most of all change ourselves in the name of love.


I would like to think that when you are in love you don’t change physically or mentally, but you do. You also change both physically and mentally when you are not in love but which change is for the better. I have heard too many people say, “I just wasn’t myself when…” So what is it about love that we all fight for, change for, loose all reason and go crazy for? I guess a better question is what is LOVE??

What is love???
People do change...They try to make the other person happy, do things they would have never done in the first place, trying to be that person they think their partner wants them to be...Its sad to see people lose themselves, lose who they were and are. I guess we are all guilty of this, there is always something we can look back on and wonder why we did those things...


I guess one can only say they are truly in love when they are able to be themselves and their partner excepts that. But sad to say only in dreams, we will forever change in order to keep that love....Sacrificing a little of who we are for what we want....
Reply:It's funny in a way I came across your question, cause I was


trying to write my wedding vows. I was thinking about how


I could describe my love for him. There is no one word or


feeling that sums it up, yet there are many feelings and


thoughts that go through your head when you know it's right.


Not everyones first love works out, cause we grow up and


need different things. Love does not mean forever, like we


all assume it will at first. Sometimes you can love someone


alot and realize later that you were just settling for what you


thought was love.





For me, it's the way he treats me everyday. Every word


he speaks and how he goes out of his way to make sure I


feel his love. We put eachother first, and make the most


of our time together. Trust is the most important thing.


People who love, don't cheat or lie, cause there is no


excuse for it. I guess it depends on the person, but for me,


my honey is my life. I love him more each day, and I never


stop learning about him. He is a good person, to others and


to me. When you can relax in your own skin around that


person, and feel so free, you know you can trust him.


Love comes in many forms and some people never ever


find it. So consider yourself very lucky if you do.
Reply:To me, love is when i can hold someone's hand forever and walk through the storms together.To have him as a pillar of strength because no one can stand alone...and lookout for some things he has that i dont, so that i can keep learning new things and share my thoughts and feelings for life. He's like a personal diary where i can dump everything with an honest heart, without having to be concious of myself.
