"love" and "in love"?

Define "Love" and "In Love". Can you love your spouse but not be in love with them, and still want to be married to them? Can you make love without being in love?

"love" and "in love"?
Love is a sentiment that is not exclusive to a certain type of relationship. You can love people, animals and things and they all hold a differet place in your life. Being in love is an exclusive feeling that is, usually, shared with one other person and that more than likely develops over time and constitutes different things for different people.


You can love someone and not be in love with them, but that relationship as i mentioned, would be comprable to other relationships in your life. And of course you could want to marry them because you care for them and value them in your life. But for you to already think you are not in love could be a sign of trouble in the future.


Can you make love without being in love? I can't but come on in this day and age? People pay for that kind of stuff so obviously, technically you can make love in one sense of the word.

But he says.. "I love you, but I'm not in love with you"

I don't sit around all day fantasizing about them


I don't wish all day I could just be with them forever


I don't find it arousing it hug and kiss them


I don't want to spend forever with them

If I fulfill all of the above then I'll probably hunt him with a pitch fork and marry him
