Does God love everyone?

Why does everyone think that God loves everyone? I know what everyone is going to write, Don't you know what John 3:16 says. For God so LOVED (past tense word) the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should no perish, but have everlasting life. Therefore, God DOESN'T love everyone. Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I HATED. I John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man LOVE the world, the love of the Father is NOT in him. Ecclesiastes 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbour, and HATE thine enemy.

Does God love everyone?
YES
Reply:YES BUT IF YOU READ WHAT YOU JUST WROTE IT SAYS EVERLASTING LIFE THAT MEANS FOREVER ... Report It

Reply:God loves all. Let me try and answer your statements. Starting with John 3:16. This past means nothing. Why? Because WAS, IS and IS TO COME. God says in His Word "A thousand years is one day and one day a thousand years. God has LOVED the world since ever.

Romans 9:13. Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated. When Adam tried to hide from God in the Garden of Eden, God was calling 'Adam where are you?'...You think God did not know where Adam was. No! God was asking rather..."Adam where is your heart...it is not with me? Why do you hide."

So with this Romans verse, see it as God saying, 'I have loved all Jacob has done for me. I love his heart but Esau's heart I despise. God does not hate the sinner...but He hates the sin!

I John 2:15. Eaxactly right. The love of the Father is not in him. This doesn't mean God doesn't love the man but that he doesn't hold the Love in his heart, that God asks for. If God didn't love him, would God not say, "The Love of the Father is not WITH him."

Ecclesiates 3:8. Yes. Hate the kingdom of darkness. Hate evil. Hate demons and the Devil. 'A time to hate.' There is a time to hate...hate the evil when you see it. Hate the works of demons and the devil when you see it in play. A time to love, meaning you should love what God says. Do not love evil but hate it. However, do not hate the man who does evil, love him, just hate his actions.

Matthew 5:43. If you read the whole Bible, time and time again you will see what 'the enemy' is. The enemy is Satan and his kingdom. It does not say Hate YOUR enemy. Because it isn't refering to personal matters. 'Enemy' is Satan. Love thy neighbour...again it does not say YOUR...for if it did, it would mean you only have to love the people in your street. However it means love the people all around the world.

This thing about going to hell. Let me ask you this. If you were without sin. You never did wrong and say your mum murdered someone and the law was after her. You knew where she was so would you hand her in to recieve her punishment. (God Forbid.) But would you? Remembering you're perfect and without sin. Yes you would because hiding her would be wrong! Though you still love her. Same as God. God is perfect. Therefore the actions of the wrong are punishable and God sends them to be punished. Does not mean He does not Love them.

I hope I have helped in answering your question. Seek God and your questions will be answered. In Jesus name. Amen.

'Know this...There is only one true God and you will see the Son of God returning on the clouds.'
Reply:Hate simply means (in the older sense of the word)..."loved less".
Reply:GOD LOVES EVERYONE EVERYONE IN THE WORLD, WHO CARES HOW SOME MEN WROTE STUFF. JOHN 3:16. THEN REMEMBER EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW, EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD, THEN YOU HAVE GODS PLAN FOR THE WORLD SUMMED UP.COME ON NOW, PUT THOSE 2 SCRIPTURES TOGETHER SIDE BY SIDE, AND YOU HAVE JESUS SAVING THE WHOLE WORLD. AND THAT IS GODS LOVE.
Reply:Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. Romans 9:18.

The LORD detests the way of the wicked

but he loves those who pursue righteousness

Proverbs 15:9

Again and again I sent my servants the prophets, who said, 'Do not do this detestable thing that I hate!' Jeremiah 44:4

You see, God send us, his saints, to spread the word and give people a "Choice" to spend eternity with God or to be with evil ways of the earth and spend eternity in Hell. The perfect thing about God is that he gives you a choice... Do the right thing and choice eternal life through Jesus Christ. God is perfect and complete in everything. Perfect in Love, judgement, and even Hate.
Reply:Yes. But some more than others. David. :)
Reply:Yes, God does love everyone in the whole world!

YOU, ME, EVERYONE!

Definition:

Hate

HATE, v.t. [L. odi, for hodi.]

1. To dislike greatly; to have a great aversion to. It expresses less than abhor, detest, and abominate, unless pronounced with a peculiar emphasis.

How long will fools hate knowledge? Prov 1.

Blessed are ye when men shall hate you. Luke 6.

The Roman tyrant was contented to be hated, if he was but feared.

2. In Scripture, it signifies to love less.

If any man come to me, and hate not father and mother, %26amp;c. Luke 14.

He that spareth the rod, hateth his son. Prov 13.

HATE, n. Great dislike or aversion; hatred.

LOVED: is only past tense because someone else is making the discription, and in the way the verse in John 3:16 is written, "Loved" is appropriate after the fact that its says; "That He gave His only begotten Son, that who so-ever believeth in Him should not perish, but "HAVE" everlasting life.

1Jo 2:15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,

1. From the inconsistency of this love with the love of God: If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 1Jo_2:15. The heart of man is narrow, and cannot contain both loves. The world draws down the heart from God; and so the more the love of the world prevails the more the love of God dwindles and decays.

2. From the prohibition of worldly love or lust; it is not ordained of God: It is not of the Father, but is of the world, 1Jo_2:16. This love or lust is not appointed of God (he calls us from it), but it intrudes itself from the world; the world is a usurper of our affection. Now here we have the due consideration and notion of the world, according to which it is to be crucified and renounced.
Reply:yes.... GOD IS LOVE 1 JOHN 4:16

"LOVE YOUR ENEMIES. PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HURT YOU" Matthew 5:44

Love your neighbor as you love yourself.... Luke 10:27

you can't just pick random verses to understand the greatness and wonderfulness of God's LOVE for you.... you have to read it all. taken out of context, you can make the Bible say just about anything you want ... but that doesn't make it true.

The TRUTH will set you free...................
Reply:yes of cours
Reply:remember the bible is just a book and it was riten by old ppl who didn't hav any grammar skills. The bible is just a book and thats it.
Reply:Apparently, according to most Chrisitans on this site, God only loves protestants who worship him and everyone else can go and hang themselves.

Personally, I don't think there is a God.
Reply:yeah god loves everyone u should kno that
Reply:Gods are imaginary.
Reply:Yes God loves everyone because God gave Jesus for everyone.

Just because some do not accept Christ does not mean God's love for them stops. HIS love continues forever. Even when we reject Christ and go to Hell because of that rejection God's love is still there but in Hell HIS love is no longer active. Thats why it is hell.
Reply:whatever dude.
Reply:John 3:16 uses the past tense because it is referencing the past event of Christ's death for our sins. That should be obvious...

The other verse you quote you are distorting the context. Most every word in language has more than one meaning/usage. In Romans 9:13 the context of the word "hated" means "rejected".

Again, you need to read the context of the other verses you quote. You are simply reaching wrong conclusions that go against what is written.
Reply:all exept the bad people i guess, but in a way yes
Reply:Understand that man is both flesh and spirit....There are carnal things and spirtual things.....When God said the first shall be last and the last shall be first it has many spiritual meanings...We were born first in the flesh and later with the spirit.....This flesh will pass away but our spirit will continue on ...Now where it is written for god so loved the world he gave his only begotten son....correct english requires that this be past tense as it has already happened..Now back to the first being last ...Who were Gods first? Adam....Adam represents the flesh to Christ who represents the spirit...through Adam sin entered us all and through Christ came grace..carry this to the children of the promise...Abrahams seed..God made a covenant with Abraham that his children would inherit Gods kingdom but therough Christ came the children of adoption the children of the spirit..As Christ told the sons of Abraham that God could bring forth children of Abraham from a rock Christ was that rock and as faith was reckoned as righteousness to Adam so is it with the spiritual children of Abraham...You can compare Abel and Caine ....Esau and Jacob..the Jews and the Gentiles the flesh and the spirit ...The old and new testaments the law and Jesus the two trees in the garden...the differences in any man are the differences that God makes..those that have value in God are the ones he chooses they are the ones that seek him with all of there hearts...THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO

ST MATTHEW

CHAPTER 13

Why Jesus taught in parables—He gives the parables of the sower, the wheat and the tares, the grain of mustard seed, the leaven, the treasure hid in the field, the pearl of great price, and the net cast into the sea—A prophet is not honored by his own people.

1 THE same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the asea• side.

2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

5 Some fell upon astony• places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

7 And some fell among athorns•; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

8 But other fell into good ground, and abrought• forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in aparables•?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the amysteries• of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 aFor• whosoever hath, to him shall be bgiven•, and he shall have more cabundance•: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall ahear•, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people’s aheart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their beyes they have cclosed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should dheal• them.

16 But blessed are your aeyes•, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17 For verily I say unto you, That many aprophets• and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

18 ¶ aHear• ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and aunderstandeth• it not, then cometh the wicked one, and bcatcheth• away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20 But he that received the seed into astony• places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when atribulation or bpersecution• ariseth because of the word, by and by che• is offended.

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this aworld•, and the bdeceitfulness of criches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that aheareth the word, and bunderstandeth• it; which also beareth cfruit•, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

24 ¶ Another aparable• put he forth unto them, saying, The bkingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good cseed• in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed atares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the aharvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together bfirst• the tares, and bind them in bundles to cburn• them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

31 ¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a agrain• of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the abirds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

33 ¶ Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto aleaven•, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in aparables•; I will utter things which have been kept bsecret• from the foundation of the world.

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the atares• of the field.

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good aseed• is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the atares• are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; athe• bharvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the aend of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his aangels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that boffend, and them which do iniquity;

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be awailing• and bgnashing of teeth.

43 Then shall the arighteous• bshine forth as the csun• in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

44 ¶ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto atreasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 ¶ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one apearl• of great price, went and sold ball• that he had, and bought it.

47 ¶ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and agathered• of every kind:

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 So shall it be at the aend of the world: bthe• angels shall come forth, and csever• the wicked from among the djust,

50 aAnd• shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every ascribe bwhich• is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

53 ¶ And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were aastonished•, and said, Whence hath this man this bwisdom, and these mighty works?

55 Is not this the carpenter’s ason•? is not his mother called Mary? and his bbrethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without ahonour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their aunbelief•.
Reply:yes but mostly children
Reply:NO HE DOESNOT LOVES EVERYONE EQUALLY OR MAYBE HE DOESNOT LOVES FEW EXCEPTION.
Reply:God is loving, but He is also a just judge. By His obligation to carry out justice, God must punish the wicked for thier lawless deeds (the violation of His standard of righteousness, the 10 Commandments), no matter how much he loves them and would rather acquit them of all their guilt. The Bible says God pours out His anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who supress the truth by their wickedness. God would love NOT to send a sinner to hell more than He "loves them" so much that He cannot help but to let the lawless into heaven. Only a corrupt judge would let the guilty go free!

Only he who repents and trusts in Jesus Christ as Lord will EVER be granted access into the kingdom of heaven. Without the blood of Jesus, no may will ever be able to stand in the presence of a holy and righteous Lord.
Reply:Yes, He loves the sinner, not the sin. We are taught to turn the other cheek whe our enemies come against us and pray for them, so yes, God loves us all.
Reply:no. he orderd the killing %26amp; raping of the innocents.
Reply:No, and I am okay with this...
Reply:not me
Reply:Yes, God love everyone and everything in his creation but in quran Allha said "Fazkuruni azkurikum wahskurily waltakfurun"
Reply:First of all, when he says for God so (loved) the world, it was saying how back in the bibical days he sacrificed his only son just for our sins. And if he didn't love us, Jesus would have never been sacrificed. Second of all, when you see red in the bible, then Christ is talking so Jesus wasn't talking. And 1 John 2:15 means love people but not things of the world because things of the world are sins. We were all born into sin that is why we get saved. That means you don't love anyone or anything else the God. ( not even your parents. They come second in your life after the trinity( the Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.) And third of all, the bible is saying that there is a time for everything. And fourth of all, if you read the next verse it says,"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to you that hate you, and pray for them that dispitrfully use you, and persecute you."
Reply:yes, all regardless of age, race or sex.

G-d has made use in his image, why would he dislike himself. Only people have such insecurities.
Reply:I am sure He tries... though it may be very difficult for Him at times....
Reply:of Course God lovEs us all!!! John 3:16 says for god loved the world so much that he gave his only son...............................

so wat if loved is in past tense???? he gave his son years ago!!
Reply:God really loves everyone... in John 3:16 "For God so LOVED"... it means that God knew everything... he loved the whole world even before God created humans ( Got it )... He loves everyone before his creation,, because he knows everything about you ...

1 Ti : 2:3-4

"3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."Doesn't that mean he loves everyone...

In Romans 9:13...

Read this in Ro 1:28 " And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"..

that doesn't mean that god don't love them , but he tries so hardly with them to return to his love... but they just "didn't like to retain God in their knowledge".. then God just gave them over to a reprobate mind.. as they knew many things about God, but they don't want him and they don't want his love.. that's the same what happened to Esau.. in Ge 25:34 "thus Esau despised his birthright." he despised his birthright for launch...
