Is young love real?

I fell in love with a guy at 16 1/2. he broke my heart. well a year later we hooked back up. were forever in love this day. we have been together for 2 1/2 years. we have a beautiful 15 month old together. I love him. He loves me. ALot of people say that love dont last when your young. its all puppy love and crushes. but do you think love can last forever until old age and ya die? Im 20 years old. He is now 23. we are happy young people. so is tru love at first sight still real? ANd do you think young love lives on? and is real?

Is young love real?
I believe in true love. I feel that if you are both still very much in love after sharing a child and all this time maybe it will last forever. I was married at 19 and am still happily married 29 years later.


Love each other and always talk about problems. Stay friends. That is the most important thing. Most married couples forget to be friends.

Reply:i believe love can blossom at any age, at any place, at any time. i met my girlfriend when we were extremely young. i asked her out in 7th grade. today, we're both in college and i love her more than ever. we plan on getting married some day... until then, we share our dreams and aspirations. shes the only girl ive ever kissed, her hand has been the only one ive ever held, and shes the only person ive ever truly cared about. im her only everything also. love isnt confined to a specific age category. those who think so have never experienced it first hand. young love is the love that shapes and molds the person you will become later in life. people should never deny it.
Reply:Sometimes it is.. But true love grows stronger over time... I met my husband when I was 22, we have been together ever since, I am now almost 45 (ouch)..We have been together 23 years, married 21.
Reply:If you are both mature enough to not "wish you had dated other people more...." and you are totally committed to each other...


YES! You can ABSOLUTELY grow old together happily! Don't let others rain on your parade.





What they say may be true for many... but NOT ALL!


I know a couple that had to get married when she was 15 and he was 17. They have 3 beautiful children and have been happily married for 21 years... and going strong... in spite of all the gloom and doom others predicted for them.





Ignore them and be happy in spite of them! You can prove them wrong! ; )
Reply:Young love can be very real and it can last. Remember most couples don't stay tigether, regardless of age and those who marry, well you know the odds. It takes work and understanding by both and, if one changes too much in a certain way the other may not be able to handle it. I'ts a simple ask asking yourself why you happen to be you!
Reply:In your case it ain't young love no more it has matured with time and know with a baby it sounds like it has grown to a new level. I think young love is when your like 13 or so and it's innocent and stuff like that . I miss those days . You and your family sound Happy good for you all.
