What does love mean to you?

To me, love means you put them before yourself. Love is when even if you lost all your material belongings and had to sleep outside in the cold, if you had them, it wouldn't be so bad. Love is when you can't remember what your life was like before them, and you don't want to either. Love is when no matter what the world could offer, it couldn't be better than that moment, right there with that person... Love is when you think about survival, and they're the first thing you'd need. Love is when you want to share your everything else with them because they already take up your everything. Love is when you have a first kiss every kiss. Love is when no matter what, it's always worth it.





I'm asking because in a response I had to a question, I said what I thought love was. Now I was just wondering what others think it is.

What does love mean to you?
It's obviously very hard to define love but for me, it's feelings of extreme adoration based on more than desire. Love is like when your talking to someone and nothing else matters except for that moment in time. And when you can act like a total retard but it doesn't make you feel bad because it's okay. And when you just forget everything and your whole life goes to hell, but you're to happy to care. And when the other person makes you feel indestructable, bulletproof, and completely safe. Like when you're in their arms nothing can touch you. And as soon as they walk away you just want them to come back, but it doesn't make you sad, it's more like euphoria. And when you dream perfect happy dreams about them every night. I've only ever felt this about one person and maybe that's all I ever will. I know I wrote a lot of "and"s in this response but that's how I feel.
Reply:When you truly love someone, it's unconditional. You try not to do anything that would hurt them or would make them compromise their values. You would put their best interest over your selfish needs.

BTW, those that love your blind servitude, will never tell you this, it gives you control over your life, which they think you shouldn't have.
